  • Application of non-linear inversion methods in seismic data (first arrivals), trying to reconstruct the velocity field of the study area. Down-hole and Crosshole refraction and tomography study.
  • Geophysical investigation of selected Archaeological areas using various geophysical methods.
  • Enviromental studies as part of the construction of borehole for irrigation purposes.
  • Application of several geophysical methods (hydrogeophsyics) for water resources detection/modeling.
  • Advanced geophysical/geological/geochemical methods for waste disposal sites characterization.
  • Water Resource Management, Protection and Remediation, Sub-terrain Water Pollution.

 

Participation in Research Projects

My research activity has been realized mainly in the Geophysical Laboratory and the Laboratory of Geophysics & Seismology of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. I have been working in these Laboratories since 1993 and participated actively in more than 50 research programs in the following fields, Archaeological Prospection, Geotechnical Studies, Earthquake Engineering, Geophysical Studies, Water Resources Detection, GeoEnvironmental Studies.
